RD: Damien DeMento, Seriously. What The Hell?!?
Posted by Raging Demons on 02/28/2009 at 11:01 AM
There are certain topics that I don't want to write about quite honestly. And then sometimes there are certain topics. On those topics that I want to write there are those moments that I feel I can cover more into detail with exact information and passion that, honestly in my own DAMN opinion, I can cover WAY better than everybody else around NoDQ.com. And there are the topics that I don't want to cover because sometimes they are literally screaming for attention that I have to respond to because it not only gives me a voice, but it also gives me a way to say what the hell is wrong in the world today which in the end makes me look cranky.
One such example is Dave Scherrer of PWInsider.com when he tried to attack my Group for "Posting his news" when in fact wwe.com does the same thing. I still want "Dave-O The Clown" to admit that he should do that exact same thing to wwe.com or admit that he has some sort of deal with them but so far...nothing. Now I got another one. One that I try NOT to talk about. One that I try not to say anything because he acts like he wants attention. But once again he acts like a raving idiot. So without further adieu...
Damien DeMento. WHAT THE HELL?!?
I'm referring to DeMento's latest YouTube video rant. This time DeMento is attacking "us". Or more specifically Pro Wrestling News Sites like the infamous "Wrestling Observer" and of course us right here at NoDQ.com. So let's go through DeMento's mad rant okay?
DeMento deleted his YouTube account that had him ranting about his review of "The Wrestler" (DeMento, anytime I want I can talk to Evan Ginzburg about this. Since he is, well you know, assistant producer of the movie) claiming that "wrestling websites are stealing his material and making money off his videos." Um...DeMento. Let me respond to that from a quote from Season 1 of "Heroes".
Lyle Bennett (Claire's Brother): [about Claire's tape] "I'm going to post this on YouTube and make like a million bucks!"
Zach (Claire's friend): "YouTube's free, you idiot!"
Claire Bennet: "Zach, you're not helping!"
(Thanks from Heroes Fanfic.com for the quote.)
So DeMento. Quick question. How are we the "wrestling web sites" are stealing money from you when in fact YouTube is, oh I don't know, FREE?!? You don't make any money off it. And you can turn off the option of embedding your videos you know right? Let's continue.
Now DeMento is accusing us the "wrestling mark sites" for stealing material. Um...DeMento. Have you looked at the Pro Wrestling News Scene? There isn't exactly a whole lot of people doing it. Just a few sites and that's it. Off the top of my head I can name: "The Wrestling Observer", "PWInsider (home of "Dave-O The Clown")", "Figure Four Weekly", "The Sun" (which is a UK Paper), certain Baltimore & Chiacgo newspapers (don't remember their names), "The Steel Cage Wrestling Blog" (which is co-written by a former member of the WWE "Brain Trust"), and of course...RIGHT HERE AT NODQ.COM!!! *hokey smile, thumbs up*. So we have to do what we have to do. Your not going to look at ESPN to cover it. Last time they actually did they called Eddie Guerrero a "steroid fixed junkie". And Sports Illustrated is constantly trying to look for the negative is pro wrestling. Closest I can really remember for anything nationally positive in Pro Wrestling was monthly clips from "The George Michael Sports Machine" and that syndicated Pro Wrestling News show that lasted for one season in the 80's starring Gordon Solie. Else. Pro Wrestling is still considered a joke at times. So until pro wrestling gets better news coverage DeMento. Your going to have to deal with it.
DeMento goes off on a tirade ripping Dave Meltzer (from "Wrestling Observer") for "spreading gossip", Ryan Clark, and "two fruitcakes" RD Reynolds & "some fat guy" from Wrestlecrap.com for "ripping on the business" and "peddling their cheap DVDs". Meltzer has always received hate for the years of exposing pro wrestling. Because pro wrestling has always had the policy of "not revealing what's behind the curtain". But in exchange Meltzer has always received fame for being a good source of pro wrestling and MMA news. G4's "Attack Of The Show" talked with him a month ago. And RD Reynolds & "the fat guy". First of all that "fat guy"'s name is Blade Braxton. Second Wrestlecrap.com does what shows like "The Soup" & "Best Week Ever" do. Make fun of the bad that is pro wrestling. DeMento is still kind of upset when Wrestlecrap.com made fun of him. And last time I checked their books & DVDs are NOT cheap.
DeMento is attacking the website "Lords Of Pain" saying that "they are begging for donations", Meltzer for his newspaper, and of course Wrestlecrap.com for those "cheap books & DVDs". DeMento is hitting home right there since Lords Of Pain happen to be one of our Group's affiliates for years! And last time I checked L-O-P hasn't asked for donations since they have ads and they are a part of UGO. DeMento here's something you need to consider. Running a website of any kind is not exactly what you call cheap. So if Meltzer or Wrestlecrap have to shill to pay for server costs. So be it. But then again DeMento. Putting content on free sites you don't seem to comprehend the cost of websites now huh?
DeMento then says that these "mark sites" don't know what the wrestler's life is all about. They don't know about taking bumps, life on the road, all of that. Um...DeMento. Dave Meltzer has been in the ring, granted he got clobbered though. And RD Reynolds & Blade Braxton were indy wrestlers. As for myself. Quick question DeMento. Have you ever been on top of a rolling staircase, like the ones you see in "Home Depot", and fell off that staircase with it landing on you with the end result of missing a year of your life? Talk to me when that happens to you. My life experiences are somewhat similar to those who travel those roads. Granted it may not be exactly like them, but I respect each and every one of them.
DeMento is comparing the people who "steals his videos" from him like stealing out of his wallet. So DeMento. Your broke I'm assuming? Once again. YOU CAN'T MAKE MONEY ON YOUTUBE! Adding to it Lords Of Pain did report about the video but they didn't post the video, they just wrote it up as a news bulletin.
Damien DeMento is reminding me as of late of another raving lunatic who says nothing but sheer, inane, stupidity.
This guy (pic below):
I'm referring to FOX News' Bill O'Reilly of "The O'Reilly Factor". All that he ever does is says one stupid thing after another. DeMento. That has what you become. Just one gigantic idiot. Do me a favor and please stop posting on YouTube. Just like The Ultimate Warrior, every time you open your mouth my pride at becoming a fan becomes shame. It would make all of us a lot happier.
Dawn Marie and myself would like to say thanks to those that donated and those that will continue to donate to The Carrie Deussing Foundation and to Wrestler's Rescue. Wrestler's Rescue needs your help again.
"Doctor Death" Steve Williams needs a very expensive piece of medical equipment to make his life easier. It's about the price of a new car. Wrestler's Rescue is asking not only for cash donation but they plan to hold a fundraiser full of donated wrestling memorabilia. So if you want to send any cash donations or any wrestling memorabilia that you don't want anymore you can contact Wrestler's Rescue on their Myspace Page or email Wrestler's Rescue yourself
I also have a special "Wrestler's Rescue"-esque cause that I want to promote. Someone on the Internet Wrestling community has hit hard times as of late. Blade Braxton of "Wrestlecrap.com" has hit a bit of a bad patch. Suffered a knee injury because he can't afford the health insurance, and handling the financial aspects of the lost of his mother, has put him in great debt. You can help Blade out by either buying from his eBay Store or you can send him a Pay Pal Donation to lions294355@hotmail.com.
And one more piece of news. Since he's in my network and recently TNA fired him. I thought I give a shout out. Sonjay Dutt is looking for some work. So if there are any indy promotions out there or any autograph signings for him. Contact Bill Behrens @ showbis@aol.com.
Until next time. (right click it).
