Seeing as the old ECW was so much better than this new crap, who was your favourite (if you watched it)?
Sabu was always my favourite. He is a great athlete, and does some sickening things, two barbed wire matches, the first of which he taped up a split bicep. He also trained Rob Van Dam, another great ECW star, so Sabu was just all round amazing! :D
Also, Terry Funk, anyone who can win an ECW championship in an extreme rules fatal four way at 53 deserves respect and the Sandman, never in that great shape, but he could take so much punishement, second only to Sabu.

Sandman and Tommy Dreamer were my favorites. I didn't exactly agree with the Sandman's beer drinking and smoking as those are things I have always stayed away from but he was a good wrestler in my view. :)

Raven was pretty good too. I liked his gimmick. I didn't actually agree with the thing that he did with the Sandman where he put Sandman on a cross and put a barbed-wire crown on his head. There are actually laws against doing that sort of thing. I can understand doing it as an illustration for an Easter play at church. That is actually legal, but storyline or not, if it shows someone crucifying someone because of the fact that they just don't like them, that is illegal.

i'm sure it's Rob Van Dam.

lol I had a feeling you would say Rob Van Dam.

I also was a big fan of Cactus Jack and Balls Mahoney.

Cactus Jack could get downright nasty and hardcore with his wrestling but there was the unfortunate time where he ironically denounced hardcore wrestling.

Balls Mahoney was kinda funny despite being hardcore. The team he had with Axl Rotten was pretty cool.

Another guy I liked was Terry Funk. That guy was probably the oldest guy on the roster, yet he could get hardcore with the best of them.

Tazz was awesome as well. I saw it on the Rise and Fall of ECW DVD where he broke his neck. It was during a tag team match and he took a piledriver to his forehead and it snapped his neck back. He was somehow able to walk to the hospital. That shows you have a lot of guts. I have the book as well. I also saw where Bam Bam Bigelow put him through the ring. That rocked!!!

And I almost forgot about Sabu. That dude could take some serious punishment and still come back for more. He's been injured multiple times. Broken ribs, neck broken twice, broken jaw, severe bicep laceration, and multiple lacerations on his whole body, just to name a few.

I don't remember watching the older ECW but a few names that yall have mentioned sound really familiar. Of course I know who RVD is. But the others that sound familiar are Tajiri, Balls Mahoney, Tazz, and Lance Storm.
